Pa­per art fun for all

THE View From Here: An Ex­hi­bi­tion of Paper­cuts by artist Pamela See ex­plores the im­pact of hu­man in­ter­ven­tion on bio­di­ver­sity through pa­per­cut in­stal­la­tions.

Paper­cut­ting work­shops will be avail­able for all ages. WHEN: Ex­hi­bi­tion open now un­til Tues­day, May 22. WHERE: Dog­wood Cross­ing, Miles.

Films for Chin­chilla his­tory buffs

TAKE a trip down mem­ory lane!

Two short films high­light­ing the prickly pear in­va­sion and erad­i­ca­tion in the early years of the Chin­chilla district will be screened for all.

Guest speaker Mar­garet Cameron will be in at­ten­dance and morn­ing tea will also be pro­vided. WHEN: Thurs­day, April 5 from 10am.

Get artis­tic th­ese hol­i­days

LEARN how chil­drens pic­ture books are cre­ated, then have a go at cre­at­ing your own story and pic­tures!

Il­lus­tra­tor Jo Cuskelly, will be host­ing il­lus­tra­tion work­shops at li­braries across the Western Downs th­ese school hol­i­days.

For kids aged 12 and un­der, this free event is bound to bring out ev­ery­one’s cre­ative streaks.

SCHOOL kids are in­vited to a hands on, mul­ti­me­dia work­shop that ex­plores rep­re­sen­ta­tions of the self and con­sider dif­fer­ent ways of cre­at­ing their own self-por­traits.

The Kid on Tour’ pro­gram is a free school hol­i­day ac­tiv­ity for kids aged be­tween 5 and 12 years.
