Liv­ing out child­hood dream to be a nurse

A CHIN­CHILLA woman who has dreamed of be­ing a nurse since she was a lit­tle girl has just grad­u­ated from uni­ver­sity.

Jes­sica Elaine Healy re­cently re­ceived her Bach­e­lor of Nurs­ing at a cer­e­mony hosted by the Uni­ver­sity of South­ern Queens­land in Toowoomba.

Her mother, Donna, is ex­tremely happy for her daugh­ter as she knows how much work went into at­tain­ing the de­gree.

“I’m very proud of her,” she said.

“She has al­ways wanted to be a nurse.”

Donna also had some great news on Jes­sica’s fu­ture in the in­dus­try.

“She’s been suc­cess­ful in gain­ing a post-grad­u­a­tion place­ment at the Toowoomba Base Hos­pi­tal,” Donna said.

“It will prob­a­bly lead to full-time work.”
