Budget’s packed with fees
THIS year’s State Budget, Jackie Trad’s first as Treasurer, was a budget jam-packed with taxes and debt.
Labor’s five new taxes and fees will rip a total of $2.25billion out of Queenslanders’ pockets – that’s $450 every Queenslander will give to the government because of Trad’s tax grabs.
That’s $450 that could be going towards everyday expenses like groceries, soaring power bills or petrol for the car.
Astonishingly, despite this tax grab, Labor is still careering Queensland towards an $83billion debt bill that our kids and grandkids will have to pay back.
So not only will Queenslanders be paying more taxes now and into the future, they’ll also be forced to pay off more and more debt.
In stark contrast, the Liberal National Party leader has already guaranteed no new taxes.
The LNP has an economic plan to ensure that Queensland’s best days are ahead of us.
We will tackle sky-rocketing electricity and fuel costs, fix our public health system, and create more local jobs.
