Great night of family entertainment

Chinchilla News - - LIFE | OUR COLUMNISTS -

WHAT a great family night of entertainment we had at our Movie Night last Friday night.

Despite having to relocate to the Showgrounds Pavilion due to the inclement weather, a very healthy crowd turned out to enjoy the movie Ferdinand.

Our sincere thanks to our partners in this project, Western Downs Regional Council, and in particular to Terri Keller and Kimberley Lingard who worked tirelessly on the day and helped with the overall arrangements of getting all the equipment in place.

Watch this space for more movies in the park.

We now have new “tenants” at our Lions Den in Mutch St.

Our friends the Chinchilla Woodcrafters Association have made our Den their home by installing a storage container to house their wares and tools and, when finances allow, will add a small workshop.

Our club is proud to have been able to help another small (but very effective) not-for-profit organisation set up a permanent home.

Our RSL Saturday Raffles continue to be well supported and we thank our RSL patrons and staff.

Now in our 15th year, our

raffles have enabled us to help numerous local clubs and causes.

Please join us every Saturday at the RSL Memorial Club and support our raffles at the same time.

Who knows, you may even win your week’s meat supply!

Til next week, take care, stay safe and remember “Where there’s a need there’s a Lion”.
