The days of renting a movie have ended

Chinchilla News - - NEWS -

THE wave of video stores closing around the nation has finally hit Roma, with OgilV Entertainment closing its doors.

The official last day to rent a video in Roma was Sunday.

The video store has remained in Roma for more than 20 years, with Terry and Shenen Ogilvie taking it over and keeping it alive for the past three.

OgilV Entertainment owner Terry Ogilvie said it was devastating making the decision to close.

“We’re definitely sad to hang up the boots,” he said.

“It was a very hard decision for us to make but you can’t fight today’s technology and unfortunately we’ve had to close another thing we love doing.

“Everyone is downloading and streaming these days and video shops are a thing of the past so it was just due to lack of rentals and with the progress of today’s technology we had to make the decision to shut the doors.

OgilV Entertainment is shut.
