From: UK Car: Mk6 Escort “I’ve owned this Finesse Estate for four years, and was drawn to it as it was a local car and had been well- cared for. During the last winter it was treated to a full respray in its original Moondust Silver, and this included colour- coding the door handles and side mouldings.
“The bodywork was very good, only needing a new wheelarch. The interior was stripped out and refitted with the correct half leather interior from a GTi Estate. Many smaller, hard-to-find parts were replaced, using parts from my two spares cars.
“I have spent many hours finishing the car off including painting the brakes, suspension and the insides of the wheelarches, and I am really pleased with the end result. I have attended local shows with the car and it has received many compliments, and it now joins my much-loved Mk3 Escort Ghia. My next project is already under way — an Escort van!”
