Planned spec: bubble arches, 2.1 Zetec, Quaife ’box

What’s the story: “Here is my homebuilt 1969 Mk1 Escort RS1600 replica, which I have been building over the last three years,” says Dan. “The whole car was stripped to bare shell, sandblasted then the metalwork done — it needed a new front panel, two front floorpans, new wings and a full alloy bubble arch kit before it was painted in Frozen White. The engine is a 2.1 Zetec with the full Retro Ford kit, backed up by a five- speed Quaife Pro ’box.”

“It’s fully trimmed on the inside with the parcel shelf, rear quarter cards and dashtop flocked, and new carpet and underlay fitted. It should look and sound great.”
