What’s the story: If Blane’s name seems familiar, that’s because his awesome V8-powered Mk1 Capri was featured in the September edition. Like all good classic Ford owners though, once that Capri was finished, Blane was itching to get on with another project and so this Mk1 was sourced.
“It’s a 1971 2-litre and I intend to build a 2-litre turbo with a T5 five- speed gearbox from a 2.3 Turbo SVO Mustang,” says Blane. “The car will also have coil- overs, adjustable TCAs, decambered rear springs, but I plan to maintain the pre-facelift features in the cockpit.” Cockpit? Well, we guess this Capri is going to fly when it’s finished...
