Q I have been trying to locate 205/60VR13 rated tyres for my Tickford Capri, but have discovered that this size and profile are no longer available.
Other than swapping to 15 inch wheels, can you advise me on alternatives? Are there any specialists producing out-ofproduction tyres? Mark Kempsford Email
A Don’t panic — there’s no problem about tyre availability. While the original Goodyears are no longer available, Vredestein produce a suitable tyre in this size with the crucial VR rating. Toyo also produces their super-sticky, road-legal R888 track day tyre with this rating for around the same price, and if you go slightly wider, the Blockley Tyre Co do a 235/60VR13 tyre with a suitably-period tread pattern.
