Luke’s GXL sitting on 8.25x15 inch Ultralites was already doing a good job of distracting passersby, but when he popped the bonnet the onlookers turned into a crowd thanks to the recentlyfinished Pinto turbo. “I knew nothing about turbos before this,” he admits, “but I did some research and decided to put a set-up together based around Sierra EFi management. It’s working great, with 10 psi giving 190 bhp.The car was originally bronze but had been painted black by the time I bought it, and the next job is to tackle the bodywork. I restore classic cars for a living so I’m not worried about what I’ll find!”
