NICK CAMPBELL Falcon XB GT Coupe
Spec: restored and standard apart from electric fan
And now for something completely different... Nick’s (frankly huge) 1974 Australian Falcon is one of only four currently in the UK, he reckons and is a rare old thing thanks to that distinctive colour. “It’s called Mushroom Beige,” reveals Nick, “and this car is one of only four that came from the factory wearing it.The XB was restored between 2002-2004 back in Perth, Western Australia, but has been in London with me for a good few years.” London? “Yes, it’s surprisingly easy to drive it around the city, though I’ve had to fit an electric fan to help keep the Cleveland 351 cool.”
Ben Szanto’s Escort needs to go lower, don’t you think? Classic Ford and classic BMX: a winning combination. Robert Twinn’s Mk2 Granada features a very neat 24-valve V6 install.
