2.3-litre all-al­loy Du­ratec built by John Hard­man En­gi­neer­ing, high com­pres­sion pis­tons, ARP rod bolts, New­man cams, twin We­ber DCO/SP 48 car­bu­ret­tors with twin link­ages, Ash­ley ex­haust sys­tem, DTA en­gine man­age­ment, al­loy Group 4 ra­di­a­tor, elec­tric fan, Samco coolant hoses, boot-mounted al­loy fuel tank with twin low-pres­sure fuel pumps, bat­tery re­lo­cated to boot in al­loy car­rier. Power: 228 bhp, 218 lb.ft

Type 9 five-speed re­built with higher first gear, Ti­tan Mo­tor­sport bell­hous­ing, light­ened fly­wheel, Sachs or­ganic clutch, nar­rowed At­las axle with al­loy brace, 3J Driv­e­line LSD and shaft con­ver­sion
