STEVE COMMONS FIESTA MK2

-

Originally featuring a 1.1-litre motor in its engine bay, Steve Commons’ funky little Fiesta now has a rather more unexpected power unit under the bonnet. “It’s had a Ben Szanto engine swap to a Honda 1.6-litre D SeriesVTEC engine,” he grins. “Running on twin 40 carbs, it’s certainly not shy and has surprised a lot of people.”And while it’s definitely not one for the purists out there, it’s great to see people doing something a bit different with their builds. “It’s just a bit of fun really,” he laughs.

?? ?? Mk1 meets Mk1. Martin Woods’ bubble-arched Estate looks great. Mk2 Fiesta looks great on cream steels.
