Jason Mallock-Long’s Mk2 Granada Featured: June 2018

A Mk2 Granada is perhaps not the most obvious choice of drift weapon, but that’s just what Jason and fabricator, Rich Bishop of Bishop’s Bespoke Builds have in mind for this former 2.8 GL. A wedding present from his wife, Pearl, Jason knew just what he wanted to do with — and to — the unsuspecting Granada, transplanting the V8 engine and gearbox from a BMW E60-shape 5-series, along with most of its suspension to create a formidable drift toy that will still retain the classic Mk2 Granada styling and essence. The ’80s styling of the big Granada mixed with the power of the BMW engine? What’s not to like? Jason and Rich hope to have the car ready for 2019’s drift events, and we can’t wait to see it in action.
