A car park in the town of Aveiro in north-west Portugal might not be the most-glamorous setting to mark the Escort’s major anniversary, but it proved the perfect location for the Clube De Automóveis Antigos Da Figueira Da Foz & Castelo Branco (phew!) to host almost 150 Escorts from Portugal and beyond.With live bands, a gymkhana/drift slalom and a great sense of community, it just goes to show that even a humdrum shopping centre can be the ideal location when classic Escorts and a community of classic Ford fans are involved.
