This time five years ago we were all about the Mk2 Cortina, as the boxy saloon (and estate) celebrated its 50th birthday. Featuring a trio of unique Aussie examples, it was a great way to mark the occasion. Elsewhere we featured what is possibly the only Zetec SE-powered Anglia — and a superb conversion it was too!

10 YEARS AGO NOVEMBER 2011

A decade ago, this Cologne-arched Mk1 Capri was literally bursting out of the front cover. Later repainted in the classic Frami Racing livery, it then dropped out of sight. Also in this issue was Jamie Gough’s 2.4-litre track day Mk2 Escort, now transformed into a race car, and we spent a weekend on the spanners with Dave Fisher.
