Burton has made the task of fitting a Pinto into a Mk1 or Mk2 Escort easier through creating a an improved reproduction of the Escort RS2000 Mk1/2 aluminium sump. The Burton sump provides suitable clearance around the crossmember and steering rack and also incorporates amendments to the sump baffle so that more protection from oil surge is provided than the original version.
