Time to fit: 1 day Power steering used to be hard to do because you needed a power rack and the pump and the reservoir and the hoses. Now there are several kits that feature electric power steering systems, which have been engineered to typically bolt in to an Escort. With a bit of ingenuity, they can be adapted to other stuff too. Once fitted, you have the added bonus of in-dash adjustment — the feel can be altered using a simple rheostat.
