SYDNEY ALL FORD DAY
The Fords head to New South Wales.
The All Ford Day in Sydney was very well supported this year with event organisers, The Combined Ford Clubs of NSW, putting the number of cars on show at an impressive 1720.
The CFC consists of 19 clubs and has a strong focus on the heritage of Ford in Australia. Amongst the member clubs are those catering for the Model T, Model A and early Ford V8, ensuring that these cars, which are so significant to Ford’s early days as a local manufacturer, are well represented.
For the CFC organisers the day starts well before sunrise and CFC President, Andrew Byrnes will have been hard at work long before anyone else. When the gates open and the cars start coming in, owned by either CFC members or other Ford enthusiasts, the venue soon begins to fill with an impressive and diverse range of Fords.
For 2023 a big e ort was put into inviting the owners of F-Series trucks to attend, so their 75th anniversary could be
celebrated in style. The F100 and F150 models that were sold here at di erent times were joined by plenty of early American trucks while a monstrous F650 provided an example of just how big the F-Series can be.
The Falcon was Ford’s biggest seller here for many decades and just about every model that you could think of was present, from the original 1960 model through all the di erent generations, with saloons, coupes, estates, utes and vans all being on display.
