Screen stars sought

The organisers of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show are searching for a star from TV or film to appear on the Live Stage at the 2014 show (14-16 November). But rather than one of the original Bond girls or your favourite detective from a cult TV show, the organisers are looking for a star of the four-wheel variety to go under the spotlight.

Event Director Dan Nwaokolo explained: “We’re looking for a car that has appeared on TV or film, that is now in need of restoration to put into the hands of Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer and Edd China. Over the three days of the show, Mike and Edd will aim to bring the car back to its former glory and then return it to its owner at no cost to them whatsoever.”

To enter, owners need to send details of their car and where it appeared, along with at least two pictures, with one of them showing the car in a still from the programme or film, by email to win@necclassicmotor by 5 September. A panel of judges, which includes Mike and Edd, will then decide on the winning project.
