The 997 is still new enough to command something of its hefty original price tag, while the 964 and 993 are now heavily sought-after by purists wanting the older air-cooled cars. This leaves the 996 as one of the more affordable modern 911s... although of course everything is relative and you’ll still need upwards of £15,000 for a nice one.
