T he heat cycles and road dirt inflicted on your car’s brakes makes it difficult to keep corrosion away. Special high temperature caliper paint and durable metal paints can be applied to calipers and the caliper carrier. The centre of new brake discs can be coated in a high temperature paint to prevent rust emerging, but do not apply any paint to the surfaces where the brake pads make contact. The exterior of brake drums can also be painted in a high temperature or durable paint.
