A CELEBRATION OF BRM – DVD
The small market town of Bourne in rural Lincolnshire was an unlikely home to BRM, who competed in 197 Formula One GPs between 1951 and 1977, winning the constructor’s title and seeing their driver Graham Hill crowned World Champion in 1962. Today the Bourne Motor Racing Club seeks to preserve and nurture this proud heritage and this DVD records an evening with three former BRM mechanics – Dick Salmon, John Sismey and Ben Casey. With BRM’s history portrayed through a series of fantastic slides, they regale the audience with anecdotes and memories, bringing history to life and reminding us that these unassuming men not only lived through that history, they actually made it! Hugely enjoyable, and highly recommended whether or not you are a motorsport fan. £15 plus p&p. PAL, running time 91 minutes. Available from www.bournemotorclub.co.uk
