Owner’s Q&A

-

What do you like most about the mgc?

It’s just such an effortless car to drive and that six-cylinder exhaust beat with the hood down is such a great sound!

What Was the hardest part of the restoration?

I have to say fitting the new wiring loom and making sure everything was connected up correctly.

Were any bits specific to the mgc difficult to source?

Yes, there were quite a few but the main ones were the washer bottle and the correct leather rimmed steering wheel.

Would you embark on another full-scale restoration similar to this one?

No, not really. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do since seeing 'An MG is Born' on the telly and once was certainly enough!

Would you ever Consider selling your 'C?

No. After all that hard work, this one’s definitely a keeper.

finally, if you ever Won the lottery What Would you park beside your two mgs?

It would have to be a Austin Healey 3000, the car the MGC was supposed to replace back in 1967.
