The runout of brake discs can have an effect on the ride quality. The amount of runout can be measured with a dial gauge and magnetic stand, as shown here. Depending on the car, around 0.06mm of runout in the brake disc is acceptable, but it could be more. It may be possible to reduce this by removing the disc and cleaning the hub’s mating surface.
