MORRIS RETURN MOVES CLOSER
Morris Commercial Limited, based in Worcestershire, is reviving the famous Morris name with a BEV van which has been fully designed and engineered in Britain, and which it is promised will be built here too. Called the Morris JE van, it has featured on TV before, but made its public debut at the Fully Charged Live event in September at Farnborough International, giving members of the public their first chance to see the 21st century re-imagining of the famous 1950s Morris J-Type. The Morris JE sits within the 2.5 tonne segment, but it boasts an impressive 1000kg payload and 6m³ load volume. The lightweight carbon-fibre and aluminium construction, which are both recycled and recyclable, are said to allow for a range for the battery-powered vehicle in excess of 200 miles. First deliveries are not expected until late in 2022.
