VDP MEMORIES

First I would like to congratulate you on an amazing magazine; I look forward to getting it every month. I am writing about the Rover 213 Vanden Plas on p104 of the September issue. My grandfather bought an early 1984 ex-demo one of these from a Rover dealer in Telford. He originally went to look at one of the last Triumph Acclaims, a CD spec, but changed his mind when he saw the new Rover in the Vanden Plas spec with full leather, after which the Triumph had lost its appeal. His car was metallic green, registration A704 LVC. When my grandfather passed away, my father was given the car and I have lots of good memories of days out, and also of passing my test at 17 and being allowed and trusted to borrow it from time to time. I wonder if it is still about today? Thanks again for the memories.
