Stratford Festival returns

The historic town of Stratfordupon-Avon

will once again play host to its Festival of Motoring following the record-breaking success of the 2013 inaugural event. The 2014 event will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May and will be open to three hundred entrants.

The festival will feature a wide variety of specialist vehicles ranging from treasured vintage to sporty classics, from American muscle to micro minis, as well as some of the most powerful super cars of the 21st Century. There will also be the added attraction of historic rally cars, classic British touring cars, hot rods, street cars, motorycles and bicycles to enjoy.

Enthusiasts and owners who have signed up for this year’s festival also have the opportunity to put their car forward for consideration in the Grand Cavalcade of Cars, which will feature the top one hundred cars in the festival based on factors such as age, rarity, condition, cost, performance or just sheer oddity.

The two-day festival will features two ‘runs’, both of which will operate on both days to ease traffic on the local roads. Event co-organiser Adrian Grubb, from Stratforward Business Improvement District ( BID), said: “Last year’s inaugural Stratford Festival of Motoring was a resounding success and we are thrilled to be hosting it again in 2014, such is the love of the British public for cars, old and new.

“We also hope to put on a show of Classic and modern Aston Martins, as last year, which drew huge attention from the public. We are privileged to have two Global Motoring Brands, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin literally on our doorstep and both great supporters of the festival.
