Unnamed boost TCT

Classic car insurance broker Footman James has helped to raise vital funds in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Andy Fairchild, Footman James Managing Director, recently presented a cheque totalling £432.31 to Ian Macaulay at its head office in Cradley Heath. Ian is the founding member of The New Unnamed Classic Car Group, which recently held its inaugural car show, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Ninety cars attended the event in Kidderminster on 27 April and £701 was raised on the day. It was decided to make it a charity event due to a combination of factors – it was the group’s first event of the year, its first year anniversary and National Classic Car Drive It Day.

The chosen charity is close to the heart of one of the group’s members, whose niece, Imogen Westwood, was recently diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a cancer that develops in the supporting tissues of the body.

The cheque will add to the £4000 already raised by the 13 year old's family, who live near Stourbridge. Andy said : “We are absolutely delighted to have raised funds in order to help Imogen and we thoroughly support Ian’s fantastic work so far in backing the Teenage Cancer Trust through his classic car group. Such community work – coupled with our passion for the classic car movement – is at the very heart of what we do.” www.thenewunnamedclassiccargroup.weebly.com
