Euro imports

Iwas fascinated by the Mini project introduced last month and especially the idea of sourcing a non-rusty example from Italy. Did you know Italy was one of the biggest export markets for Rover during the ’90s? On a recent trip to Naples I even saw a couple of Rover Metros and quite a few 214s seemingly in daily use – but not a single Alfasud!

There must be some rich pickings for the BL/Rover enthusiasts and even for those cars which aren’t as easy as the Mini to swap back to RHD, it’s still a lot easier than importing from the USA etc. We’ve still got a chance before the Brexit curtain falls!
