What was the first car that you ever owned? A Triumph Herald 12/ 50.

2

What classic car(s) do you currently own? The 1968 Chevrolet C10 Pickup pictured here. I chose this because it represented the essence of iconic 1960s American pickups. I wanted a utility vehicle rather than a muscle car at this stage because it will work in the business and will be used to take products to shows and grace the stand whilst we are there. These trucks are also uncomplicated, easy to fix, and every single part when required is available either new or recycled. A muscle car is on the wish list to complement this, as is a 1970s Chevy Blazer or GMC Jimmy. 3

What would be your dream classic?

An early Corvette Stingray or a carb- engined Ferrari BB512.

Which car do you most regret selling?

I don't have any regrets at all. Most people's regrets are centred around seeing what their old car would be worth today and wishing they had kept it. I have no such regrets, although I have owned and sold cars that are worth considerably more today than they were when I sold them. However, I count myself lucky to have owned and driven a multitude of interesting cars, stretching back to the 1970s when I had big Cadillac and Pontiac sedans, Chevy and Dodge off-road vehicles through the 1980s, Ferraris too and then over the last 30 years a succession of Porches, Audis, Mercedes and BMWs. I’d love to still own the Panamera Turbo S or the Cayman 718 S which were fabulous cars, but I have loved the experience already and I am now deep into nostalgia and retro territory.
