Each year, organisers of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery challenge the exhibiting clubs and traders to create displays around a suggested theme that they can interpret in their own way. The show also creates feature displays and entertaining stage segments in keeping with the theme.

The theme of this year’s show – which will be taking place at Birmingham's NEC from 12th-14th November – has been revealed as ‘ The Journey Continues...’ Show Director Lee Masters said: 'We wanted the 2021 show theme to reflect where we all are right now – and that’s continuing our journey. Our lives and hobbies were somewhat put on hold due to COVID, but now, as the government road map unfolds, we can get back on the road in every sense.

'So the journey continues, as it always has. The show, now in its 37th year, continues to grow and evolve, as does our community. Classics continue to be handed down from generation to generation, but they too can evolve. For example, there are a significant number of continuation cars now available, as well as vehicles that have had a change of use. But at a basic level, we can get our classics out and get back on the road, exploring the amazing routes around the UK or beyond.'

Tickets to the show are now on sale – check outwww.nec classic motor show.

com. At present you must select the entrance time slot for when you will come into the show as part of the ticket purchase process. However, the organisers may be able to lift these restrictions at a later stage depending on the government guidance regarding management of attendees at large gatherings. A new venture for 2021 is the Inter- Club Triumph and MG Weekend, the UK’s largest outdoor Triumph and MG Show, organised jointly by the TR Register, the TSSC and the MG Car Club. It's all taking place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on 13th-15th August, and will be a celebration of all things Triumph and MG that also commemorates 90 years since the launch of the Triumph Super 9, 60 years of the Triumph TR4, Herald 1200 and MG Midget, 40 years of the Triumph Acclaim (the last vehicle to wear the Triumph badge), and also a very special anniversary for the MG Zeds, launched 20 years ago in 2001.

There will be lots for everyone to do, both car fans and the rest of the family alike. Highlights include trade stands and an autojumble, the MGCC California Cup and Triumph AutoSOLO competitions, plus a Live Arena where visitors can learn the amazing stories behind the cars, meet the owners and enjoy fascinating interviews. Camping is available for that true festival vibe, offering all the facilities you need, extended catering, a beer tent and live music until late.

There will also be the Meguiars Concours & Pride of Ownership, while dogs are welcome so why not enter yours into the Dog Show that will be running throughout the weekend? And the venue is set in an area of outstanding beauty, so visitors can also walk the hills, explore the history of the local towns and enjoy all that the area has to offer.

Under current regulations, tickets must be pre-booked, with no tickets on the gate. Should that change, the organisers will announce gate tickets separately. As it stands, day tickets start from £15. See
