Youngsters wear jeans for genes
KIDS at a South Lake childcare centre did their bit for their fellow juniors last week, dressing up in jeans to raise money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute.
Jeans for Genes Day has been held for 22 years, helping to raise more than $62 million.
The money goes to scientists working to find treatments and cures for sick children.
Buggles team leader Jackie Desousa Ferreira said the cen- tre had taken part for the past four years.
“Everyone gets involved for a good cause,” she said.
