Open day at Notre Dame
LOCALS wanting a taste of university life are invited to attend the University of Notre Dame’s Open Day Festival this Sunday. Visitors will have the chance to learn more about prospective courses and get the advice they need on career path options when the university opens its doors. There will also be a range of activities and campus tours every 30 minutes. Notre Dame student Karess Dias said she had fond memories of attending the Open Day. “My Notre Dame Open Day experience was really fun,” she said. “The minute I stepped onto campus, everyone was really welcoming and friendly and they all wanted to answer my questions.” Notre Dame admissions and student service deputy director Liz Beal said attending events like the Open Day gave people the best chance to speak to lecturers and other students about courses and life as a university student. The University of Notre Dame Open Day is on August 16 from 10am to 3pm. Visit www.notredame.edu.au for more information.
