Open day at Notre Dame

LO­CALS want­ing a taste of univer­sity life are in­vited to at­tend the Univer­sity of Notre Dame’s Open Day Fes­ti­val this Sun­day. Visi­tors will have the chance to learn more about prospec­tive cour­ses and get the ad­vice they need on ca­reer path op­tions when the univer­sity opens its doors. There will also be a range of ac­tiv­i­ties and cam­pus tours ev­ery 30 min­utes. Notre Dame stu­dent Ka­ress Dias said she had fond mem­o­ries of at­tend­ing the Open Day. “My Notre Dame Open Day ex­pe­ri­ence was re­ally fun,” she said. “The minute I stepped onto cam­pus, ev­ery­one was re­ally wel­com­ing and friendly and they all wanted to an­swer my ques­tions.” Notre Dame ad­mis­sions and stu­dent ser­vice deputy di­rec­tor Liz Beal said at­tend­ing events like the Open Day gave peo­ple the best chance to speak to lec­tur­ers and other stu­dents about cour­ses and life as a univer­sity stu­dent. The Univer­sity of Notre Dame Open Day is on Au­gust 16 from 10am to 3pm. Visit for more in­for­ma­tion.
