FREMANTLE claimed a share of the spoils after its Premier Cricket clash was abandoned due to rain.

FREMANTLE settled for a draw after its Premier Cricket clash with Midland-Guildford at Lilac Hill was called off due to conditions.

The match was abandoned early on Saturday following heavy rain at Lilac Hill, leaving the two sides to share the spoils.

Fremantle, minus batting guns Ashton Turner and Jake Carder, was set for a big run chase after the Swans posted 7-297 on day one.

But rain meant Fremantle’s opening batsmen never faced a ball.

The result keeps the Port Boys 10th position on the ladder.

They will take on Willetton at Stevens Reserve this Saturday.
