Cockburn Gazette - - YOUR GENERATION -

LITTLE Learners owner and director Ken ScottHamilton says there has been a fantastic response from parents and the community to the centre’s new nature-based playground.

“So many of them are delighted with the positive improvements to the centre since we took over in August last year,” he said.

“Most importantly, the children are fully engaged with all the activities in the centre and with the outdoors.”

Mr Scott-Hamilton said one parent told him the playground was her new best friend as her son now slept through the night because he’d had so much fun and interaction at Little Learners.

“We are passionate about education and creating different experiences for the children,” he said.

“Studies have proven that the first five years of a child’s life are the most informative so we make sure there is something for all of our children, from babies through to kindergarteners, who follow the national curriculum.”

He said educators combine the Early Years Learning Framework with their own passions.

“This has resulted in everything from netball lessons to Thai dancing and cooking classes, as well as French and Spanish lessons,” he said.

“There’s so much variety and the children love it.”

Little Learners is at 242 South Street, White Gum Valley.
