1 COCKBURN CEN­TRAL THREE peo­ple died and an­other was in­jured af­ter a Holden Calais hit a tree on North Lake Road in Cockburn Cen­tral on Wed­nes­day night. A 24-year-old Al­bany man and a 25-year-old Hunt­ing­dale woman died at the scene. A 19year-old Spearwood man was taken to hos­pi­tal but died from his in­juries on Fri­day. The sus­pected driver, a 25-year-old man from South Lake, was taken to hos­pi­tal but later dis­charged into po­lice cus­tody. At about 9.45pm po­lice at­tempted to stop the ve­hi­cle they say was trav­el­ling at high speed. The pur­suit was aban­doned soon af­ter be­cause the car’s lights were al­legedly switched off and it was be­ing driven on the wrong side of the road. A short time later the car was found split in half af­ter hit­ting a tree. The South Lake man was bailed to ap­pear in Fre­man­tle Mag­is­trates Court on De­cem­ber 15. He was charged with three counts of dan­ger­ous driv­ing oc­ca­sion­ing death and one count of fail­ing to stop for po­lice. Ma­jor Crash in­ves­ti­ga­tors are con­duct­ing in­quiries and po­lice have asked for wit­nesses.

2 FRE­MAN­TLE Po­lice are look­ing for the of­fend­ers re­spon­si­ble for two boat thefts from the Fre­man­tle Sail­ing Club on March 1. The of­fend­ers gained en­try us­ing an old pass and stole a white 1990 model 1.7m Koolan Craft cabin cruiser with trailer reg­is­tra­tion plate 1TIR601, and a grey and white 6.1m Chivers cabin cruiser with trailer reg­is­tra­tion plate 1TOY514. On April 30 the hull of the Chivers cabin cruiser was found com­pletely stripped at Lake Coogee. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion can call Fre­man­tle de­tec­tives on 9431 1200.

Po­lice are look­ing for a man (pic­tured) who they be­lieve can help them with in­quiries into a theft from a Fre­man­tle newsagency on Novem­ber 10.

Po­lice al­lege he stole bat­ter­ies, su­per­glue and con­doms by hid­ing them in his shorts. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion can call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000.

3 HEN­DER­SON A man died af­ter crash­ing his mo­tor­cy­cle into the side of a van in Hen­der­son last week. Po­lice said the man was trav­el­ling east on Quill Way when he struck the side of the van, which was turn­ing, about 3am, on De­cem­ber 2. The man was taken to Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal but died from his in­juries. A po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion is un­der way.

4 SOUTH LAKE Po­lice are look­ing for a man (pic­tured right) whom they be­lieve can help them with in­quiries into a stolen credit card.
