1 COCKBURN CENTRAL THREE people died and another was injured after a Holden Calais hit a tree on North Lake Road in Cockburn Central on Wednesday night. A 24-year-old Albany man and a 25-year-old Huntingdale woman died at the scene. A 19year-old Spearwood man was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on Friday. The suspected driver, a 25-year-old man from South Lake, was taken to hospital but later discharged into police custody. At about 9.45pm police attempted to stop the vehicle they say was travelling at high speed. The pursuit was abandoned soon after because the car’s lights were allegedly switched off and it was being driven on the wrong side of the road. A short time later the car was found split in half after hitting a tree. The South Lake man was bailed to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on December 15. He was charged with three counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of failing to stop for police. Major Crash investigators are conducting inquiries and police have asked for witnesses.
2 FREMANTLE Police are looking for the offenders responsible for two boat thefts from the Fremantle Sailing Club on March 1. The offenders gained entry using an old pass and stole a white 1990 model 1.7m Koolan Craft cabin cruiser with trailer registration plate 1TIR601, and a grey and white 6.1m Chivers cabin cruiser with trailer registration plate 1TOY514. On April 30 the hull of the Chivers cabin cruiser was found completely stripped at Lake Coogee. Anyone with information can call Fremantle detectives on 9431 1200.
Police are looking for a man (pictured) who they believe can help them with inquiries into a theft from a Fremantle newsagency on November 10.
Police allege he stole batteries, superglue and condoms by hiding them in his shorts. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
3 HENDERSON A man died after crashing his motorcycle into the side of a van in Henderson last week. Police said the man was travelling east on Quill Way when he struck the side of the van, which was turning, about 3am, on December 2. The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but died from his injuries. A police investigation is under way.
4 SOUTH LAKE Police are looking for a man (pictured right) whom they believe can help them with inquiries into a stolen credit card.
