KEEP the chil­dren busy th­ese school hol­i­days with a range of in­ter­est­ing ac­tiv­i­ties at Fre­man­tle mu­se­ums. At the Mar­itime Mu­seum, dive into the world of Leonardo Da Vinci with a free ex­hi­bi­tion show­ing the re­con­struc­tion of more than 70 ma­chines in­vented by the artist. Chil­dren will also get the chance to try their hand at making their own mini-cat­a­pult and write a mes­sage us­ing Da Vinci’s se­cret code. Other work­shops in­clude build­ing and test­ing a bal­loon-pow­ered bat­tle­ship.
