THOUSANDS of Australia Day revellers packed Fremantle’s beaches and parks as they took advantage of last Tuesday’s beautiful weather to celebrate the national day.
With a full day of activities planned, including beach volleyball, food stalls, children’s rides, live music, activities at the Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre and a citizenship ceremony, locals could celebrate the day in any way they wanted.
The morning kicked off with the City of Cockburn’s Big Aussie Day BBQ Brekkie at Coogee.
To cap off the day, the Indian Ocean Fireworks were launched at Bathers Beach.
