Pizza is extra cheesy

Cockburn Gazette - - OPINION -

IF you have ever ordered pizza the chances are you have indulged in an extra portion of your favourite topping.

But while extra cheese, pineapple, pepperoni or even salami is not unusual, have you ever asked for an added piece of humour?

That is exactly the request one local customer made - and staff obliged.

“Big shout-out to Success Domino’s this arvo,” the customer posted on Facebook group Cockburn Chat after opening the lid on his purchase.

“(I) ordered a couple (of) pizzas online ... and wrote in the instructions for a funny joke to be written in the lid of the boxes. “They came through big time...” So what were the two jokes? What do you call a man with no shins? The answer: Tony (Toe-knee). What do you call a guy with a pole in his leg? The second answer: Rodney (Rod-knee). The customer was clearly satisfied, posting, “Well played you savages”, a comment that in this instance is actually a compliment.

Domino’s spokeswoman Tracy Llewelyn said these types of requests were not unusual.

“While it’s not always possible to accommodate every request, when we can bring joy to social food occasions we do,” she said.
