Take a Valentine’s Day stroll
VALENTINE’S Day is all about the heart, prompting families around the state to take part in HeartKids WA’s inaugural Stroll for a Sweetheart fundraiser on February 14.
The 2.2km walk will be held every Valentine’s Day to support research into Childhood Heart Disease, with more than 200 people, including the Smith family from White Gum Valley, expected to take part.
HeartKids WA chief executive Cecilia Donovan said it was an important time of the year for the organisation.
“February is an incredibly important time because it is when we ask the public to dig deep and join us in the fight against childhood heart disease,” she said.
Stroll for a Sweetheart will be held at Dianella Open Space on February 14. Go to heartkidswa. org.au for more.
