TRIBUTE TO BE BROUGHT TO LIFE
SOFT Soft Loud is returning to Fremantle Arts Centre this month, bringing with it 10 amazing solo instrumentalists.
The annual event is back for its 20th year with a performance of Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Blood on the Floor.
Turnage wrote the piece after his brother died from a drug overdose, interweaving it with jazz and classical elements.
The work will be brought to life by the likes of Ben Vanderwal on drums, Sam Anning on electric bass, Carl Mackey on saxophone and Andrew Nicholson on flute, who will be joined on stage by an ensemble of other musicians.
Soft Soft Loud is on February 25 from 8pm.
Tickets start from $45 and can be purchased from www.fac.org.au.
Mark-Anthony Turnage is performing his work Blood on the Floor later this month.
