ART OP­POR­TU­NITY TO CRE­ATE PUB­LIC ART

ARTIST teams are asked to sub­mit in­ter­est in cre­at­ing pub­lic art for the new WA Mu­seum.

Cul­ture and the Arts Min­is­ter John Day said the pub­lic art would re­flect and in­ter­pret the sto­ries of WA, with lo­cal, na­tional and in­ter­na­tional artist teams, in­clud­ing Abo­rig­i­nal artists, en­cour­aged to reg­is­ter their in­ter­est.

The pub­lic art com­mis­sion will be of­fered to an artist team to de­velop ei­ther a sin­gle work or mul­ti­ple works val­ued at $1.6 mil­lion.
