IN an­swer to Mario Nardi in last week’s Gazette, the Nar­rows Bridge did not fail. It reached ca­pac­ity.

There­fore, in 2001 it was “du­pli­cated,” or dou­bled in ca­pac­ity. Now it has reached ca­pac­ity again on week­days.

Ac­cord­ing to Mario, it should never have been built, so what should have hap­pened?

Let peo­ple swim? Wait for a ferry? Hire a he­li­copter? Go by way of the Cause­way?
