Nurs­ing’s fu­ture in good hands

CAR­ING for oth­ers is in the blood of Bibra Lake res­i­dent Elly Be­naim.

Ms Be­naim was one of 30 nurses who re­cently fin­ished Fre­man­tle Hos­pi­tal’s Grad­u­ate Nurse Pro­gram, fol­low­ing in the foot­steps of both her mother and her grand­mother who are also nurses.

She had more cause to cele- brate than most af­ter be­ing recog­nised for her com­pas­sion­ate ap­proach to care, named the Grad­u­ate Reg­is­tered Nurse of the year.

Nikki Pasini was named Grad­u­ate En­rolled Nurse of the Year.

Fre­man­tle Hos­pi­tal staff de­vel­op­ment ed­u­ca­tor San­dra Craigie said the grad­u­ates were all crit­i­cal thinkers who would be as­sets to the nurs­ing field.
