GET lost in the smooth reggae sound of Australian band OKA when they return to Fremantle for two shows on their WA tour.

Describing their sound as ‘Bob Marley meets Stevie Wonder via The Chemical Brothers’, OKA were invited to perform at the Augusta River Festival before deciding to share the love around, adding four more WA shows before jetting off to Queensland.

Band member Stu Fergie said it was an easy choice to book two gigs in North Fremantle.

“We have the longest connection with North Freo, it’s been a bit of a home away from home,” he said.

“It’s hard to explain, but we have always loved the vibe and the energy of the people in North Freo, it’s one of those places in the world that really seems to get our unique sound.

“Our shows will be a high energy hybrid of electric beats, juju rhythms, marinated in some true Australian Dreamtime earth sounds and positive vibes. So if you want to have a dance, an OKA night is the place to be.”

OKA will be performing at Mojos Bar on March 3 and the Indi Bar on March 4.

Fusing reggae, R’n’B and dance music, OKA return to North Fremantle next month for two shows.
