Colourful welcome to uni life
FREMANTLE’S West End was buzzing with colour and activity during the University of Notre Dame’s record-breaking O Day.
The annual celebration is held at the university to welcome new students, with the popular O-Day Parade attracting a record participation of 1000 people.
There were also a fiesta, social activities, live music and workshops.
City of Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt officially welcomed the students to Fremantle.
“Fremantle is famous for its colourful parades, with the O-Day parade giving students a taste of the local culture they will enjoy throughout their years of study here in Freo,” he said.
