POLICY OFF TRACK

Cockburn Gazette - - OPINION -

It was much worse than when Joe Hockey said poor people would not be affected by the fuel tax because they did not own cars or drive very far. I find it hard to believe that an intelligent person would make such comments based on data from a traffic study but not considering the fact that a court decision ruled that the correct environmental process had not been followed. IF the State Government were serious about getting the big freight trucks off the roads, it would use the railways.

But no; this Government has got something against trains.

It is hell-bent on shutting train lines all over the state that serve the country and city freight movements well. Why?

Fremantle Dockers midfielders Lachie Neale and Stephen Hill visited Emmanuel Catholic College Football Academy students last week to talk about their AFL careers and life outside the sport. Have a picture we can use as a readers image? Email it to...
