Ap­pli­ca­tions open for City grants

A LO­CAL busi­ness owner who has been able to pro­mote and de­velop en­vi­ron­men­tally-friendly trades ser­vices thanks to a City of Cock­burn sus­tain­abil­ity grant is urg­ing other lo­cal busi­nesses to ap­ply for the next round of fund­ing.

Sus­tain­able Tradies pro­pri­etor Roberto Figueroa said he had noth­ing but praise for the pro­gram, which en­abled him to grow his busi­ness.

Cock­burn Mayor Lo­gan Howlett said the grants sup­ported a range of projects in the City, with pre­vi­ous projects funded in­clud­ing Water­wise verge makeovers, bush tucker gar­dens, an out­door class­room and bush reveg­e­ta­tion.
