Cockburn Gazette - - LOCAL FOCUS -

WITH a holistic approach to education, Agape Centre for Excellence offers programs catering to all types of learning styles to help children who are ahead, struggling or just wanting to improve their grades

The centre believes every child needs to grow intellectually, emotionally and physically and therefore the emphasis should not just be on academic achievement but also character development and building children’s self confidence and self esteem.

Programs are conducted in a creative and nurturing environment and include literacy programs (Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar), numeracy programs (Hands on Approach), coding (Scratch), Mandarin and EQ4Kidz.

“We have been sending our son to the centre to help him with his reading skills and we are impressed with his progress and confidence,” parent Laurilee McKay said.

Another parent, Nicole Stone, said her daughter had been struggling with maths and her confidence would drop whenever doing it or talking about it.

“She has been attending the holiday program and in just two days, her whole perspective has changed,” she said.

“She now believes she will get better at it and that is half the battle.”
